Why we built this
Moving abroad doesn't change who you care about — it just makes the small, everyday ways of showing it harder. Sending money for a coffee feels excessive. Sending a physical gift internationally is slow and complicated. So most of the time, people just... don't. The gesture gets lost to distance.
CLOSI+ exists to close that gap. Not by moving money, but by letting you buy something real — a coffee, a manicure, a birthday cake — for someone you care about, at a business that actually exists, in the city where they live.
The plus is on purpose
CLOSI+ means adding a little closeness — a small, deliberate gesture that says "I'm thinking of you" more clearly than a transfer ever could. We started in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, because that's where the idea came from: wanting a better way to be part of someone's everyday life from another country.
How we work
Every experience on CLOSI+ is fulfilled by a real local business we work with directly. When a gift is redeemed, we pay that business — you're not sending them money yourself, and your recipient never has to handle any of that. You send a moment; we make sure it actually happens.
